The Empowerment Council (EC) is an independent organization consisting entirely of people who have received mental health or/and addiction services. Voting members elect members to the EC Board and the Board sets policy, oversees the organization and directs the Executive Director. The Executive Director reports to the Board, implements Board policy, direction and oversees the staff. The Deputy Executive Director assists with implementing the EC’s policy and plans. The Manager of Administration and Finance ensures the organization’s documentation and finances are in order.
